According to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has upheld Antoine Vermette‘s 10 game suspension.

Pieree LeBrun of ESPN.com comfirmed the news that Vermette was going to appeal the suspension.
Antoine Vermette’s appeal hearing is scheduled for Thursday at the NHL’s office in NYC.

Vermette the former second round pick of the Owatta Senators in the 2000 NHL draft will now serve the suspension. Vermette is in his first season with the Anaheim Ducks after spending time with the Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Phoenix Coyotes, and Chicago Blackhawks.
So far this season Vermette has played in 58 games and has 22 Punkte, 8 Ziele und 14 Vorlagen. He also has a plus minus of -10.
